Apologies if this has been posted already here - used the board search engine and it didn't surface anything. Interesting news including Jon Burlingame's involvement. I'm a bit of a sucker for film score podcasts, so this is an interesting one to add to the mix:

Disney to release new film music podcast ‘For Scores’ – and it sounds dreamy

The forthcoming series features exclusive interviews with some of Disney’s most celebrated composers – here’s everything you need to know.

Disney Music Group has announced that it will be launching a new podcast this Friday, exploring the soundtracks to some of its most popular TV shows and films.

Created in association with Treefort Media, For Scores will feature exclusive interviews with many of the iconic composers who penned the melodies for Disney, Marvel, Pixar, Lucasfilm and 20th Century Fox.

So far, guests confirmed for the first four episodes include American composer and conductor, Alan Silvestri, who wrote the music for The Avengers franchise, and award-winning composer, Pinar Toprak (Captain Marvel; Purl).

Joining them will be English composer, orchestrator and music producer, Harry Gregson-Williams (Penguins), and pianist Henry Jackman (Ralph Breaks the Internet; Wreck-It Ralph; Big Hero 6), who wrote his first symphony at the age of six.

The series will also be hosted Jon Burlingame, an esteemed TV and film journalist, author and lecturer in music-film history, who has written for leading publications such as Variety, The New York Times and The Hollywood Reporter.

He has appeared on several classic-film DVDs, contributing music commentaries for King Kong, The Pink Panther and The Magnificent Seven, and has won major industry awards, including ASCAP’s 2013 Deems Taylor Award for his book The Music of James Bond.

The For Scores podcast will be available to stream via Spotify, smart speakers and YouTube, and there will also be a For Scores playlist with music from composers featured on the show.

Another four episodes will arrive later this year, with more to follow in 2020.

Wow.

Maybe they'll talk about the Legacy collection? Nahhhhh!

I was about to come in here with unhappy comments, but then I saw the name of the host. Never mind!

Fun trailer - thanks for including it. Now I'm going to be unbearably finicky and point out that the notes in the image are too big for the staff and would create some pretty challenging site reading. wink

I was skeptical too, but you sure can't go wrong with Jon Burlingame. I'm looking forward to it!

It'd be a hoot if they got Carol Connors & Artie Butler on for a "behind the scenes" RESCUERS throwback. I don't know why nobody's done that yet.

Honestly seems like PR for their current franchises. These scores are hardly worth discussing in depth IMHO.

....which is why, with Burlingame on it...certainly worth a try.
I'd guess he'd be able to lead the chat into viewing these scores in a new/different light...maybe?

JB is a terrific journalist, and it seemed "we" got him lately solely on John Barry CD issues. So, intriguing he's venturing to new territory.

First four episodes are available now. I'm just now finishing - and quite enjoying - the first one, with Alan Silvestri.

The other three episodes feature Pinar Toprak, Harry Gregson-Williams and Henry Jackman.

I listened to all four. They're really well done. Looking forward to more.

My only crit is that they only use the music for the "current" score, even if the composer has done other Disney work. This is especially noticeable (to me) on the Henry Jackman episode.

Here's the first episode, if anyone wants to give it a chance. I quite enjoyed it.
