I counted 7 (yes, 7) different kinds of Cheerios. I was aghast.

There's not enough choice in this world, and we have to do R&D to come up with 7 different Cheerios.

But that's not the half of it. It turns out there are EIGHTEEN different kinds: https://www.cheerios.com/products/

Wow.

Cereal are nothing more than candy soaked in milk. No one should be eating that stuff.

The savory Cheerios market is an untapped goldmine. Just imagine a big ol' heaping bowl of warm milk and...

Anchovios

Pepperonios

JalapeƱios

or my personal favorite,

Bean & cheese burritios

Americans and their sugary cereals.... smile

In Norway, we have healthier kinds low on sugar and no sweeteners. This is the one I use the most:

(I may have problems in regards to beer and potato chips, but for cereals, bread etc., I try to eat healthy).

And that doesn't count the ones that failed and are no longer made.

It's awesome we can have the choices because of a capitalism, American-based company (General Mills).

Yes thanks to capitalism most Americans will suffer from obesity, heart problems and diabetes.

All things in moderation, e it food, sex, or even exercise (which you can die from). That's neither the fault of the country nor capitalism; that's the fault of the individual.

I take that as a compliment. Ol' Gruber had a few valid points.

/blabarmusli/

Thor, that name sounds like a legend, that Norwegian mothers use on their kids: "If you don't eat your vegetables, the Blabar Musli will come find you in your bed at midnight, lean over into you and breathe horrible smells into your face..."

I've seen you multiple times IRL, Thor, and not even ONCE did I see you order low-sugar cereal or whole-grain bread during the cocktail hour. smile

Not enough that women's breasts are getting objectified in Hooters restaurants.

Nope, they're starting them early by introducing the non-cleavaged restaurant called "Hoots," run by the same people.

Oh, brother.

I can remember when some cereals had the word Sugar as part of their brand name (Sugar Smacks, Sugar Pops, Sugar Crisps, etc.). Then, as refined sugar became vilified, the names of these cereals changed to reflect a healthier approach, but I doubt that their sugar content was lowered much if any at all.

Sugar Smacks was always going to have a problem in today's enlightened times. Might as well call them "Child Abuse Flakes" and have done with it.

Hi! I'm just reveling/glorying in the news that these are "enlightened times."
