Just received mine in perfect condition. Superb! Incredible remaster. Some familiar tracks are much more dynamic now and I can hear the instrumentation much more clearly.
Excellent stuff.

OK there's been a few bad luck stories from Varese since Naxos took over shipping.
My CD club order arrived today, and I paid my $25 customs charge from Royal Mail, which I was expecting.
But when I opened the pack they were not even Varese CDs at all, but some other discs that Naxos must mess up too, sorry I meant distribute too.
I've asked for my money back and offered to return the CDs, but Naxos have two more mega disappointed customers this time...

I’d say you got off light. When I opened my package from Naxos, my wife’s head was inside.

I am sorry to hear - what was the customs fee?

That’s the crazy part, I hadn’t even ordered anything! This was a spite mailing!

Was it packaged OK and arrived without damage?

As far as I can tell the contents arrived in their intended state, but there wasn't even any bubblewrap, so I mean, I don't know, who knows. I've just completely had it with Naxos at this point.

Got mine Saturday (along with The Cowboys). No problems in the delivery. But the score is delightful. The difference between this and the original, shorter release is night and day. It makes nearly the same sort of difference between the original First Knight release and the later expansion. So much vital material had been left off that it robbed the score of a whole 3rd dimension. And I must add that this has to be one of the best sounding Goldsmith recordings on the '90s. Big and robust yet with great detail. Terrific release and a thousand thank yous to those involved in its production.
