Decided to post an audio clip from a U.S.A. soundtrack this time, with hope to revitalize this thread: https://soundcloud.com/thunder-butler/sets/mystery-track It's from 1959, but I don't expect this will be easy for most folks. VIRGIN SACRIFICE by Paul Sawtell and Bert Shefter. Bill Cooke is the winner! Glad you guessed it. If I told folks that it was 2 composers, I'd be giving too much away.

I had a feeling it was Sawtell and Shefter, but this film does not show up as an American film of 1959. They did a few films that year, BTW. And funnily, because I figured it was those composers, I knew it had to come from an MMM CD - but I don't have this one.

Well I dunno either (and neither does Shazam), but somebody guess it quick - I wants it!

The surprising thing about this composer, is that other than a few very early efforts in his homeland, he never wrote for film. Surprised no one's guessed it yet. I'll reveal whenever folks would like but here's a clew: This composer has a CD on Kritzerland

Claus Ogermann? Yavar Ding, ding, ding - we have a winner. This piece is called Lyric Suite - movement one. From the EMI CD, Lyrical Works or something like that. If you like the music, I highly recommend our Ogerman CD, but he's a wonderful composer.

Yes, an excellent composer -- I have the original issue of your Ogermann album, but may upgrade to the Kritzerland sometime if I've got some spare dough... Yavar
