NASA is having a breifing for the rover tomorrow. They are going to discuss early Science results and the collecting of their first sample. 1pm EST.

Wow, very cool! In other news I heard the helicopter had a successful 9th flight and its now doing science. Also Hubble telescope was fixed.

When I look at the recent pictures of the rocky bedrock outcrops and they say it formed a billion years ago it is so hard to image. I don't look at the soil under my feet and say that hasn't changed in a billion years. I hope they have something interesting to share.

The rover is on a sprint to the river delta. 3 miles in a month! Can’t wait to see what the delta looks like from rover eye level.

This is very exciting news. Glad they're going full throttle to the most interesting location. I sure hope it self drives better than a Tesla though! wink

BTW, the helicopter is still going strong as well. I lost count how many flights its had.
