So my sore arm only lasted about two days, other than that I felt, and feel, great! I'm so grateful I received both shots, thanks to everyone who made it possible!smileI highly recommend the vaccine to everyone!

Awesome! Glad to hear it!

I'm still waiting for news of my second jab. I had the first one in early Feb & most people I know have had the second one, I understand that now when you get the first jab you're given a date for the second one (UK).

Meanwhile, on Planet European Onion, mathematicians have calculated when those in my age group should start receiving their first jab. They think that it will probably be around August, but they didn't actually specify the year.

Ive wondered if you need to take the second jab in a certain time frame after the first one?
If it takes to long for the second jab does it make the vaccination less effective?

Today marks my 2nd day to be officially back at work in the office. I feel really comfortable now doing so since its just about 2 weeks now since my last 2nd shot.

It feels really good to be honest. A year + 1 month working everyday at home, in my 1 bedroom apt, with my desk and phone in my bedroom in front of a small window overlooking my balcony I think took a toll on me somewhat. And now I see my peeps again as it were and Im definitely more engaged and just flat out happy about it.

On the whole, I now no longer have that constant underlying anxiety or even perhaps paranoia about getting Covid now. I know I am not immune and that I could potentially still get it. And I still wear a mask in the store and when going out to a public place. But that sense of extra caution or concern is now gone and it's such a relief. The pandemic is far from over and seeing what's occurring in Canada, India, and in Michigan to name one state is still concerning. My only concern is that some nasty new variant will take form and all hell breaks loose again.

From what I remember it's the reverse, it's apparently a good thing to have a good space between the jabs. Anyway, the NHS has been in touch & my second jab is on Tuesday.

Just time to mention once more how hugely interesting Dr John Campbell's channel is. I know that some of you (TominAtl etc) have mentioned his daily YouTube updates and analyses, but it's worth reminding everyone how fascinating (and down to earth) he is. Today's presentation was quite startling. You'll never see this on the telly, folks!

Yup, got it two hours ago, no side effects, just like the first time. Are we coming out of this? I don't know, India are having a grim time. In the UK, at last the shops have opened up, it's just great going out. On Saturdays I like to go to Portobello Market, West London, & I went last Saturday for the first time since October. It was great, the first Saturday open & it was about 90% back to normal, a colourful bustling market, & it helped that it was really sunny.

I'm really beginning to suspect that all this praise for the NHS handling of vaccinations is hype. Three days of attempting to get my first C-19 jab booked:

Day 1: You are not on the system
Day 2: You are on the system but you have no vaccination record
Day 3: You have a vaccination record but you are not eligible for vaccination

Even the database operator couldn't understand it - they know I'm in the 40-49 year old range.

Unperson or what!

Had my second jab tuesday. Same as last time, like Rameau, no reaction. Super efficient, 2 people in the queue in front of me, and then i had to wait a whole 28 seconds for the doctor. Job done. Volunteers were brilliant.

Got my first Pfizer shot last Monday. Felt a bit fatigued the next day but that was it.

I had virtually no side effects from my second Pfizer jab -- just the usual arm soreness the next day, and some fatigue. I'm counting down the days to the second week anniversary of that jab, and then going out for a nice expensive meal in an actual restaurant.

I got my first jab on Tuesday evening and am still suffering from the side effects. It was all very odd - after the jab I was fine for the rest of the evening, slept well and was okay until about 11 yesterday morning. Then the fatigue set in and got worse and worse as the day went on. Ended up with fever symptoms, and couldn't stop trembling. Hardly slept last night at all, really bad headache and feeling of muscular pain and a weakness of the joints. Woozy, light headed, pretty grim. I'm on paracetamol to try to get through to the end of the working day, which can't come soon enough.

Anyone else have such an adverse reaction?

Countdown before reaching the other world.
May you rest in peace, Mellé lover.
Farewell.

Hi Graham, sorry to hear of your woes. My son (33yo) had virtually the same symptoms, perhaps not as bad, after he got the second shot last Saturday. He got the Moderna. He was fine for about the first 12 hours after the shot, then he crashed. He stated that he'd never had a headache that bad before. He took acetaminophen and used ice packs to cool down. Once he started recovering, he felt better quite quickly.
My wife and I got the Pfizer version. My flu-like symptoms were worse after the 2nd shot, but lasted only ~24 hours.

Hope you're feeling better very soon! smile

Hello henry. I stepped in when I read your question. I received my second dose of Moderna in April and felt fine except for a 101.8 temp for a few hours. The rest of the family will be fully vaxed by next Monday when my son gets his second dose and he will be headed back to work. Thanks for thinking of me henry. smile
