The is an okay low-key film, hampered by a not very good central performance. Stamp comes across as brain injured. That accent... just didn't work for me.

An effing international break? Again? What wazzery is this? Stop international football! It's tosh.

It's because 2018-2019 was the Nations League... which meant the usual two year qualifying period for the next tournament had to be squashed into the second half of 2019. Hence all these international breaks. But hey, more money for UEFA I suppose, and that's all that matters.

I didn't realise that. Ugh. Now i miss the days of utterly pointless friendlies where they change entire teams at half-time.

I always thought that historically in qualifying years we had int break in sept, oct and nov?

I missed the game live, cos we're in a little village near Buxton (Peak District) and the one pub int village didn't have Sky Sports, so I listened to the game on Five Live while putting up with a constantly interrupted dodgy stream on my tablet and phone.
Not ideal, but the result was nice.
I'll watch the highlights on MOTD in a bit.

#wtf

Another holiday!!??

Actually you're right. But usually friendlies in Nov. I just checked the last five years of games.

I could swear we're having more breaks this season. It certainly feels that way.

Yah it seems like they're every five minutes. Much like Tall Guy's and Kev's holidays.

I've seen highlights of the last two or three Newcastle games, their winger St Maximin (or something like that) seems to be great at getting away from defenders then utterly abysmal at finishing or producing a decent final ball. To such a degree that it makes you wonder why he bothers beating his man in the first place. Good lord, he must be frustrating for their fans to watch.

Manuel Pellegrini: West Ham to give manager more time despite poor form

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/50372474

I've never been convinced that the manager is to blame at West Ham. It seems to happen season in, season out, no matter who's in charge. Time for the board to look at what goes on behind the scenes I reckon.

Surprised Phelps didn't call out TG being with the millennials on his use of a hashtag on the thread, he did it to me once in no uncertain termswink

Jim knows better wink

The tragedy of it all is that I unfortunately, don't know better. I just hold Thomas to a much higher, Carlsberg-guzzling standard. Tall Guy is better left functioning at his optimal, feral best.

I've watched the Pewl-City highlights a few times; I love it when Aguero and Sterling comes up small in the big matches, as they often do.

Fine goals from Liverpool; savor the victory, boys.

Well he certainly is to blame for the recruitment - and lack of it in key areas. He seems happy to play suicidal atacking football but with too many players in team who wont tackle or run back. There is zero workrate and no press. 3 weeks ago it wasnt getting better and he shudve tried a few more squad kids to get some energy back in the team.

I dont see how he is going to turn it around. They're either not playing for him, baffled by tactics or much of the squad is pissed off with the other half coz they arent tracking back but nor are they scoring.

Many scoffed when i said relegation but its looking bang on as watford n sthampton will pick up points and unless we have a major turnaround i dont see us doing anything but the occasional draw. Money they spent ...the performances have been a fkn disgrace frown

How much meddling by management goes on in football? I'm sure the Chelsea owner always has a dirty hand in things, but to what extent do other owners interfere with their management staff?

Doug the Destroyer Ellis, twice Villa owner the mans greed was legendary, ditto mooching around grass-roots business was strange but normal poking, he'd josh or debate squad agendas 1st 11, if Doug disliked sticky patches there'd be serious words a fair-chance the talk was the p45 so liven-up man, some managers were quality names some just resigned under total B.S.. Doug had a crazy dream winning Prem but his professionalism was like a guillotine, if provoked or crossed a majority of AV fans felt that too they were probably afraid to speak-out, coz he was loaded too buy any-players, he finally got ill sold-up too Randy Lerner.

Liverpool has had Thread Favorites City's number for the most part the last couple of years, and it's nice to see Pep's "genius" soundly thrashed.

Great-win, what I like to see "legit" considering the hype for top-dog. smile Pool-supporter at Etihad.

Pool struggled last-year 1 point 1 goal, fact is, 75-million Dijk, voted for player of the year should've been reversed too fear-of-it for his sleepy-poo's, Klopp & critics kept it low-key for his stock-credibility while shaky vs mid-table teams costing Pool 11 point lead Jim you did observe that.

PL this season Dijk has been solid but CL pretty wasted, if it weren't for Liverpool's attacks wiping-out any score, Dijk leader would've been exposed last-season, I'm no hater or bias to teams just how I see it, pitiful defending. Hey Stone's for all the critics your stock has risen.

News gone bonkers about banter going wrong and raheem sterling grabbing joe gomez by throat in england canteen. Handbags and separated but southgate has dropped sterling from thursdays match. But gomez requested that theyd sorted it and not to send sterling home. Storm in teacup but sterling does have an iffy attitude. If gomez wasnt black we know what the agenda would be thismorning.

England will never win anything as long as Sterling persists in running like a girl.
