Topic was my favourite.

You mean Topov?

I identified with Pig because he/she was a Brummie.

Pipkins could get quite dark on occasion.

A while back I bought a dvd that was a real nostalgia trip( can't find it at the mo'). It had one episode, each, from a load of show I watched as a kid -
Pipkins
Jamie and his magic torch
Hickory house
And others

I see your Pipkins and i raise you Tales of the River Bank.

Tv genius. And brilliant classical music theme.
Similarly Out of Town, with Jack Hargreaves.
Also shouldve been made a knight, with Brian and Oliver.

Speaking of Jack Hargreaves, HOW! I learned a lot from that programme, although it would never be shown today with its racist depiction of the Native American Indians' "supposed" way of saying, "Hi, how's it going?"

Have we mentioned Animal Magic.

Animal Magic. There ya go! Johnny Morris. Fantastic.

Slightly off topic, I'm a little concerned that we might be alienating half the world here by mentioning people and programmes they've never heard of. Wasn't it enough of a humiliation for them to be conquered by us in the first place?

Take Hart.
Anyone else used to watch the gallery (was it scored with Cavatina?) and constantly say things like 'no way a 5 year old drew that' or 'that was done by a 12 YEAR OLD!!! Must be Special Needs' wink
