He is one of the very few FSM'ers with whom I was friends with on Facebook. I'm very sad to hear this. We had some very interesting exchanges and he was always nice to me. Rest in peace, Charles.
He is probably the only FSM'er who I was actually friends with on Facebook. I'm very sad to hear this. We had some very interesting exchanges and he was always nice to me.
Oh no.....oh man. I hadn't revisited this thread in some time and I'm shocked and saddened. Charles was a great guy, friendly and outgoing, and we shared some similar tastes in music.
My heart goes out to his friends and family for their loss.
He and I (along with other F.S.M. Message Board members) both shared a love for Herschel Burke Gilbert's music for "The Rifleman" (at least he lived to hear the 2 C.D. set of the music that came from Laurel Records). R.I.P. Charles Thaxton. You're now up there with the angels and late great film composers.
Charles and I share a love of outer space exotica, in particular "Fantastica" by Russ Garcia and "Project Comstock: Music from Outer Space" by Frank Comstock.
