Nice to see some Gorgo love. I can't justify $200 dollars for a 13 inch toy though. The teeth looks soft and the bottom of the feet seem wobbly. They got to get another 100 plus backers in less than two weeks.

I have the Monarch Gorgo model kit. I glued it together but never finished it. That's probably around 9 inches tall. Its long out of production now. Shockingly I just found one on Evil Bay for $65 dollars.

If the likeness is perfect and the attire and accessories are spot on I can justify the $250 range. The Clint Eastwood series by Sideshow is a great example of this. However, with technology making it far easier to get it right using scanning tech instead of sculptors, the prices need to come way down. At this point it's just greed.

A great way to save money is to buy the head sculpts off Wish/AliExpress ($25-$35ish...some are painted, some are not), the body off Amazon ($20 and up) and customize them yourself. The Click 'N Play figures have lots of great accessories/weapons too. I made a pretty decent Mitch from The Park Is Mine for $50 (as well as Christopher Walken and Willem Dafoe).

Those are cool. I'm just beginning to learn about the head sculpt business. Ive seen quite a few unlicensed pop-culture head sculpts on Ebay and I see other companies making "generic" bodies and costumes. Its something to look into for sure.

I wish we had the technology we have today 30 years ago when I was young. At this point I'm feeling too tired to get into the digital printing mess to make my own products. The figures, props, cosplay armor/outfits people are making these days are just insane. There's a guy doing what I wanted to do in the 90's; 3.75 figures from esoteric or cult classic pop culture. IMO no one can compete with his work. Imagine if licenses weren't so expensive or strict to limit creators and artists; the things that could be made!

Oh, I'm totally with you! In the late 90's I went back to college and learned computers, digital art, HTML, CSS etc. I was a graphic designer and a web designer. I learned both PC and Apple, knew all the ins and outs and customization. I really got into the new technology. Today I just don't have the mental energy to learn 3D software and digital printing. I'm really burnt out. It's a shame.

That's an amazing price for that.

I like how at the bottom of the page Ninja Batman is listed as a companion piece.

16" robot figure from the 1939 Bela Lugosi THE PHANTOM CREEPS serial---$249.99. An 8" version is $199.99.

I saw the Lugosi serial on tv when I was about three or fours years old and the Robot creeped me out---I may get it for my nostalgia collection.

RAY FAIOLA:

It's expensive, but I'm seriously thinking about getting it. Even though I was only 3-4 years old, I remember scenes of the soldiers in World War I helmets and a scene in the aisle of a small plane.

Nice.

Man, sometimes there's just nothing like some really cheesy old sci-fi.
And how's this for weird... sometimes I will turn down my TV to B&W, just because it will make whatever movie I'm watching seem more "vintage".
It just feels more comfortably nostalgic that way (if there is such a thing).
But I'm going off-topic, guys. Forgive me.

Super-sized Pinocchio. A $50 dollar item that retails for $300! Doesn't even bend at the elbows and knees. Still very cool and appears very accurate and on model to the animated character. Start at the 3 minute mark.

Oof. Throw your money at the Clint Eastwood Legacy collection instead. Worth...every...penny. Josey Wales arrived yesterday! I still don't know how Super 7 gets away with charging such insane prices for those oversized bath toys. At $50, still overpriced, I would probably buy the Peanuts figures but $300? Hahahaha!

Yes - they're using my print of the trailer as an extra. They've had some problems with materials (chapter six I believe) which has delayed the project but it looks like it's ready to go.
