Awesome thanks for the information! Unfortunately I have a very old version of Photoshop and don't have this function. Seems like an invaluable tool though. Your work is awesome and love seeing how its created. If you go with the Creative Cloud Photography plan for $9.99/month, you can get the newest versions of Lightroom and Photoshop, which are updated fairly regularly. I know there are many polarizing opinions regarding the idea of a subscription model, but personally I think the pros outweigh any cons. I'd rather pay $120/year and always have the current version than pay several hundred dollars every few years for the software. Plus, I'd have to spend close to the same amount of money for Lightroom. With the subscription, it's like buying each program for $60 every year! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Awesome thanks for the information! Unless you're a professional who happens to use these softwares regularly, I think the subscription isn't worth the investment. There are other options much less costly. Like Affinity Photo which isn't subcription based. you pay $50 once and get free updates. I never used it but I see more and more designers and photo editors leaving Adobe for Affinity. I gonna have to check it out. https://www.educba.com/photoshop-vs-affinity-photo/ Appreciate all the feedback. I'm one of those that balked at the idea of paying a monthly fee for software. The last version of Photoshop I own is CS6! But $10 bucks a month isn't really that bad. But I'm old school and prefer to "own" what I buy in perp after a one time charge. Fifteen years ago I spent all day using Photoshop, it was my job. I'm hardly ever doing digital artwork nowadays. Change in careers and now lack of free time. Still I find a few hour a week to edit desktop photos and or create custom covers now and again. So this information is helpful.

I use Affinity and find it more than adequate for my needs, which amount to throwing together a custom cover every now and then. I'm not very good at applying myself to programs like this, but I found Affinity easy enough to get to grips with. It has its quirks compared to photoshop, and some things take getting used to, like with any of these systems, but I've no need to look further for tools to get the job done well. re the blu-ray screengrabs @ JGouse As an example, let's take an outdoor action scene in broad daylight, and you have a production still and a screen capture of the same part in the scene. Now, that photo came from a camera with a shutter speed of probably 1/1000 of a second (maybe higher, maybe a little lower) in order to freeze the action. That's essentially 1000 fps whereas a Blu-Ray can range from only 24-60 fps. Most of those individual frames are going to have motion blur in them. Ah yeah, that shutter speed was the big difference I was not accounting for. Thanks for the info.
