Most titles within Mr. Redman's collection already reside in my own.

It's interesting (to me) to see that there doesn't seem to be any Italian soundtracks in Redman's collection - and hardly any European labels are represented even when they produced albums of Hollywood soundtracks.

Didn't Mr. Redman ever own anything by Music Box or Quartet records, let alone items on Digitmovies, Kronos, Alhambra, etc.?

I have a feeling he owned more than 441 soundtracks.

It may be that only items that are deemed most valuable/sellabe are included in this lot.?

Unless I'm mistaken they're mostly titles he worked on and/or received copies of. I don't think there is necessarily just one copy of each for sale.

Glad to see Rosenman isn't included.

There are a few Rosenmans in there, mainly Planet of the Apes scores.

There aren't any titles by Tiomkin, Kaper, Duning, Frontiere ... and other composers whose absence I haven't noticed yet.

Having just now looked at this collection at SAE, am surprised at how reasonable many of the prices are.

I wonder which version of Star Wars this is? There's no tracklisting.

Why is JEDI $70?

Maybe I'm out of touch, but when I was just a wee laddie, one went to an estate sale looking for bargains. Not the.oppozite.

Note full of common sense Mr Marshall.

With his gentle guiding hand Nick was the right man at the right time, giving us all access to the 20thCF archives. His CD notes were exemplary and always full of insight, non more so than Love is a Many Splendored Thing. Over the years his advocacy of these old scores stimulated my undying interest in film music's greatest period.

Judging by the golden-age discs in his collection Nick Redman clearly had excellent taste, it coincides almost exactly with my own (what a boast!) .... right down to the only 2 Morricone CD's I have (and never listen to).
Very glad to have finally picked up Gold's Cross of Iron, having also missed Bruce's reissue.

I ordered The Omega Man.

Although I have a stack of un-listened to items, I usually put new arrivals at the bottom of the pile; the least I can do listen to this one as soon as it arrives in Willesden.
