Next week’s new release is a tour-de-force of orchestral splendor. This is one to have. It’s a riveting score!

Anyone else intrigued by the word "riveting"? I'm thinking about films about construction of some kind. Or maybe the character Rosie the Riveter?

Or, maybe...

Rose Byrne's nickname is Rosie.

Rose Byrne was in Attack of the Clones.

O........M..........G!!!!!!

Intrada and Disney together again for the definitive Star Wars releases!

Wasn't it announced a number of months ago that Doug was working on some Disney amusement park music themes ?

What's riveting is the missing bolts.

If you mean Bruce Broughton's Disney Park scores, it was essentially announced several years ago by Broughton himself. It was fairly common knowledge by the time I interviewed him in late 2019, and Intrada courteously shared his Soarin' Around the World score with me and even got permission from Disney for me to use 30 seconds of it in the podcast...which is now two and a half years old:

I'm sure that Intrada is as eager as we all are for this Broughton set to come out, and I'm also sure they aren't the hold up. We'll have to stay patient and optimistic that with so much work put into it, it will be released eventually...

Back when Roger still posted here I asked him about Willow and the reply was pretty much it's in the pipe, they were just waiting for approval, which I understand can take forever with certain companies. So, it's coming. Someday.

Maybe willow ?

Could be it. But it’s his death anniversary today so it could be in bad taste next week.

It would be a wonderful celebration of his life and work.

Every new release of his is a celeberation!!!

Rose Byrne was also in Troy. Maybe they've talked Warner Bros. into okaying a release of Gabriel Yared's unused score.

Only if Warner Bros. has unclenched their vindictive butthole yet.

It's a whole year since The Blue Max was last put out. Just saying.

Cheers

Tapes are lost.

Even if these tapes were found, Bob's a real jerk when it comes to licensing his image. (Insiders refer to him as 'Bob the B-stard'.)

Without his image, the booklet would be worthless, and with some around these parts, an inferior booklet is grounds to scuttle the whole project.

Therefore, this note to Intrada: If your booklet and liner notes aren't perfect, don't even bother releasing this at all.

"It could be this 2-CD set coming your way next Tuesday. And nothing in July. We're exhausted and taking a break. Will see you back in August."
