Without Nick, all of our soundtrack collections would be full of "Holy Grail" holes, and he was a witty and erudite presence on countless audio commentary tracks. He will be missed.
Very sad news. I had some brief correspondence with him probably over ten years ago, almost all of it football-based. Deep condolences to Julie and the rest of his family and friends.
He always struck me as a true gentleman, and was incredibly kind to me in the few online interactions I had with him. Very sad to hear of this news. My condolences to his family and friends.
Sad to hear this news and I add my condolences to Mr. Redman's wife, family, friends and colleagues. I spoke to him once on the phone when I was working at Warner Bros. and he was at Fox doing special projects. I was happy to send him some materials for THE WILD BUNCH project he was working on. He was a pleasant man and I remember asking him if he ever found anything at Fox for Goldsmith's TV Movie Score for A TREE GROWS IN BROOKLYN. We both talked about how much we loved that score.
Nick was a wonderful producer and film music person. We are so lucky to have so much, due to him and his passion for films and scores. What a great asset he was to the film music industry and all of it's fans. He will be sorely missed. Rest in Comfort and Peace Nick!
Oh God! I just saw the news that Nick Redman has died. This is an awful shock. He has been in my mind for the last two days and only last night I was thinking I must email him about something. He was a good friend to me and helped me on a few occasions. We used to correspond way before Facebook. He was such a very nice person. I will miss him a lot. My heart goes out to Julie. Rest in peace Nick, if there are film scores in heaven then I know you will be on the case!
