And I think people can't forgive him, he was chosen for the Mission Impossible Fallout instead of Joe Kraemer.

That’s it for me — but not because he replaced Kraemer, but because he delivered a stale and uninspired fart of a score.

Oh, and he also trolls Twitter for criticism which is just weird.

Music side, eager, get it finalised! Young's always proven too be gifted with horror no doubts - this genre I rank CY possibly #1 today.. Given there's no budget or freedom ties I know CY could par it.. maybe better.

Chris does have big challenges ahead - EG, PS is quite a classic still one of Elle's best - one of my favourites too, anyway.. cool.. kill it Chris.

Something new about a possible CD release?

We can expect a release of the score in April, CD and vinyl...

Based on what exactly?

Paramount will probably release it through their own "label" meaning shittunes only.
Unless another label will at least do the CD.

One member of a german score forum asked Christopher Young directly and got the answer, that there will be a CD and LP release in April.

Unfortunately I don't have any advanced infos about that one.

I’m actually excited about this score, even though I could probably predict exactly what it will sound like, instrument by instrument.

Yes, it was me. Chris wrote me via mail about a release in April, but he didn't mention a label.

The film had its premiere-so far no review has mentioned the score.

... and here is the first very positive one from Collider.com:

"And another standout here is Christopher Young’s score. It’s raw, carnal and beautifully restrained, rearing its head at just the right moments."

I hope they don't get some whiny croaky voiced girl singer in to do a sad fuck piano version of the Ramones song from the original film.

More comments by reviewers about the score:

SlashFilm: "Christopher Young concocts a jarring score full of atonal sounds and ominous chanting."

DreadCentral: "Composer Christopher Young, a mainstay in the horror genre, offers forth a subtly spooky score that worms its way under your skin."

Any news about a release?

Is going to be released by Waxworks Records and Paramount Music (this presumeably digital)

Hope a CD comes, but if not, I don't mind doing digital if I must. In either case, wish a release date for an album was known.

Expect the score on April 5th. At least, digitally

Sweet! I'll likely do both, as I tend to do with my big favorites (I bought HTTYD3 and Solo both on CD and digital, despite that obviously not being necessary, and will likely happily do such for a new Chris Young work).

Yeah... that's nice... Paramount is most likely shittunes only...
Waxworks most likely LP... they only do CDs VERY rarely... almost never... so who is actually releasing the CD?

I'd rather see a digital release than no release at all... but then again, I'm not a bitter person who hates everything that doesn't fit in his narrow viewpoint.
