Works well while I am reading a novel.

Hmm, multi-tasking, eh? Very impressive, though probably not the reaction James was hoping for. smile

Haha well I almost never listen to music on its own unless I am driving. So 99% of my film music listening is while reading a novel these days.

Also, EAC had a hell of a time correcting errors on my CD but so far it seems the rip has zero skips. Each disc took 6+hours to rip, a huge amount of time.

I had no issues. But for some reason now and again some CDs just seem to play bad on certain drives, NO idea why this would be. I remember one CD I managed to acquire three separate copies of and all had the same issue with the final track. And another one with two copies.

We're told sometime in September, but it could be longer. It'll be posted on Tadlow website as soon as it begins.

The list is in date order, so it will appear at the top of the list.

Very possible. And the PS3 is not the best CD player to judge skips by either. Thankfully it has no errors in my few listens since the original post.

I just watched the movie King of Kings yesterday. It actually improves with age. The Rozsa score is what carries it along and often brings a tear to the eye. Looking forward to the Tadlow going on sale to the general public.

Received mine a while ago and have been listing to it often.

Great performances all round. Kudos to James and all involved.

Mine arrived in Houston a few days ago. Having attended sessions in Prague I knew it was going to be great, but I was bowled over by the final result. Simply magnificent.

Wow! Those are suitably epic cue by cue notes to rival the official ones by Frank K DeWald. Well done Craig!

I played my copy today. a Monumental recording. If I only had a heart, tears would have rolled throughout.

So tell us, Tin Man, was it still a rapturous experience?

While still waiting -- How long, O Lord? -- it's good to hear some actual responses to the music.

I see your Habakkuk and raise you the Title Character: “But about that day or hour no one knows...Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Disc will come."

Still haven’t received anything here in St. Pete Florida. Me and my big mouth....
...It arrived yesterday. Played it immediately.
Never underestimate classic Rozsa!
The best!

Greetings from just up the street, John! Not quite walking distance but not exactly a long peaked chariot ride up the Via Dolorosa a/k/a US Hwy 19 either. Anyway, never was much of a fan of the film but anytime "Rozsa" is mentioned attention, of course, must be paid. I will therefore place my belated order shortly.

You won't regret it Howard.

Craig Lysy has written colorfully of Rozsa scores before. Here's a quote from his review of Intrada's superb recording of Ivanhoe:

"As he departs to torture Ivanhoe, he demands that Rebecca greet him when he returns willingly and with passion in her breasts."
