Oh, yes.... Probably won't sell 500 copies in a venue that last year saw over 160 thousand people walk through its doors, a venue filled with fans of Tim Burton, Danny Elfman and BATMAN.

You're probably right.

And with Danny Elfman...THERE...IN THE HOUSE...to potentially sign copies.

Ah, you're probably right, no interest at all. wink

Greg Espinoza (who will be right there with cash in his grubby little paws)

No, it wont sell out! It can't sell out!! I wont let it! Please let us be in denial heresmile

Hi MV

a question for BATMAN - Is all music there or has something been left out

As you can hear in my MIDI (taken from the sheet) the music that assist batman when he stops Jack Napier is different from what is heard in the film

Will that section be like in the film or like heard in the MIDI and if it is the latter - will the music heard in the film also be on the album ?

to those who want to comment my quistion i just want to point out that the word "Complete" is nowhere to be found in announcement - only "to present as much music as possible"

MV: sorry to add another question to the endless list of questions people keep bugging you with, but when Comic-Con ends, can you give us a rough estimate of how many copies of each are left?

And while you're at it, I want complete graphs of the sales and the profit margins for all them releases, displayed with bananas and monkey motif. roll eyes

Anyone know of a monkey poo flinging animated gif? lol

Thanks! That's awesome!

As for the word "complete" it is not used nor will it ever be again. I am sure we missed 2 1/2 seconds of something somewhere. lol

Last but not least, YES we will have plenty of copies for online orders. I am only bringing half of the run for each title so if I sell all those at the con I will be one happy monkey!

Looks Like FSM is trying to get rid of their old copies of Krull before the new one gets ordered! Only $20.

http://www.screenarchives.com/title_detail.cfm/ID/869/KRULL-2-CDS/

Screen Archives is the one selling that set, not FSM. That edition is not from the FSM label and Screen Archives is the retailer, not FSM.

I'm passing on that one, because I have the same views on clamshell cases for two-disc sets that La-La Land does.

I wouldn't mind a missing 2 1/2 seconds if we could have a third disc full of different interpretations of "Love Theme From 'Krull'."

(But then you'd need a clamshell case to contain everything. Oh, never mind.)

Do we know who penned the lyric, BTW?

Well, I had the Varese SUPERMAN in a clamshell - but I simply put it into a 2-disc jewel case and used the booklet as the front inlay. The lack of text on the front of the booklet doesn't matter that much.

This is literally the longest feeling wait I have ever had to endure. I am right there with everyone that says how the score to Batman affected them. This is anticipation I can hardly contain! One of my most all time listened to scores, second probably only to Superman The Movie. The first CD I bought of this one, I wore out. Literally. I had to buy a second one some years ago. I literally will probably have a party when this thing reaches me.

So for that feeling of fulfillment that you have from doing this project, Mr. Gerhard, the feeling of fulfillment for us fans who deeply cherish this score is equally as great! Can't wait to hear this....literally can't wait!

Color me stupid, but everyone is talking like there was mention of Batman Returns forthcoming. Can someone please point out to me where this was said?

I went into the living room to put on BATMAN last night and I couldn't do it.

I decided to wait until this album is in my hands, then I'll be watching. smile

I have been listening to the single disc and I cant wait to hear the music loud and boisterous on the new set! I just want those big drums in the main titles blasting! I already deleted the 5.1 um.....unmentionable off my computer to increase the rewarding listen the day it comes!

Yes, exactly!

That and the big fanfare of the main theme early on in "Attack of the Batwing" that was buried on the original album.

I took audio from the DVD and mixed it into that section of the cue just to I could hear it.

i don't get these 2cd sets where the second cd is a 'remastered' copy of the origianl soundtrack lp.
In the case of BATMAN, Lll is asking/making fans of the score to pay 10 bucks for something they all have plus a few alt. tracks.
This continies the trend of recent releases of STAR TREK II & III, BLACK STALLION, BOYS FROM BRAZIL et al.
Now , there is some justification for repackaging an ost that is oop & htf but BATMAN redux?!

Speaking as a consumer of retro score, this new promotional trend is a a barrier to purchase.
The additional price (OUTLAND) and lack of new material (BATMAN) is keeping these excellent titles out my 'cart'.

talk amungst yerselves
bruce

ps the BATMAN i would have purchased would have include the Prince songs and re-mixes on disc 2. Royal S. Brown, you missed the boat! smile

KRULL is one of my top-five faves of all time. Have the SuperCollector, but will re-buy anyway.

Have never been wanting for more Elfman BATMAN, but it sounds interesting -- will consider!

Keep up the good work, LLL!

First, let me say that I am not calling you an idiot.

Secondly, why are you re-buying things you already have?

It's a great score, it really is. But if you already have it, why not let someone else get that copy?

My mind boggles that someone would buy KRULL 4 or 5 times!
It sure must be good to inspire that kind of devotion.
I will have to check it out and see for myself. Maybe used copies will start showing up in the
soundtrack bins.
