Cool. Any new releases by this guy are welcome by me, despite those two 'angry/modern' scores he did a while back.
This film sounds like an Impossible knock-off. I wonder if he will get the freedom Velazquez did to write up a storm (pun intended) smile

Yeah, pretty much. He has a few films under his belt, having orchestrated and conducted for others beforehand (Dario Marianelli was his main employer, I think).
He's also written some classical works and won a few awards in that field. There's a CD of some of those pieces available and his film scores have been quite well represented on CD.
I just hope he doesn't get brainwashed by producers to phone-in those boring droney/programmed scores, wasting the huge talent he appears to possess.

Benjamin has now a studio at Remote Control and even wrote additional music for HZ's 12 Years A Slave.

Yes, Dario Marianelli's conductor / orchestrator is full time RCP... big grin

Wow, I didn't know he'd hitched his tent up at the Zimmer factory!
Outside of those two recent RC/MV styled scores, he's always sounded more old-school symphonic to me.
Either he's given up trying to sell his traditional sound to producers/directors, or maybe he's gonna try and change things from the inside out? wink
I happen to think Patrick Doyle's recent attempts at that style of score (Thor and Apes) are pretty great.

Haha, I know everybody hates on hating on Zimmer's factory, but I had the exact same thought. It's like, "Hey, a fresh new voice---oh, Remote Control...."
