I gave this score another listen today and realized why it amazes me and is one of my go tos when I want to get lost in music.

My daughter owns the scores to the Uncharted video game series and has told me how wonderful they are. I have listened to a bit and they are quite good. Well today I had her listen to the opening of DragonHeart (she loved the movie as a kid) and she loved it. I think there may be another score nerd in the making.

Really enjoy this one too -- some of its cues, at least; I rarely listen to the whole thing. But by far my favorite Edelman and also one of the scores that got me into film music in the first place.

Wonderful score, always enjoyed it.I like how when you hear some score you really like you tell others about it. It is one of things that makes this board good.

Thanks dan. I try to do this as often as I can. Sometimes I think having such a volume of music on hand and buying new selections on a regular basis causes me to bypass or forget what I previously had and loved. This is what happened with this score. I have always loved this one but pushed it aside. Perhaps I have too much music on my hands as opposed to time? Nah! smile

isn't anyone going to demand an expanded version cuz there is so much great music "missing"?

Beautiful score. One of those films I'll watch only because of the music.

Edelman doesn't get enough love IMHO. I admit I am not normally big on synths, but Edelman knows how to tie it all together. He also knows how to write a great melody ! I have most of his film scores on CD and listen to his music often. DragonHeart is one of his finest.

I'm listening to the score via Youtube, since I'm really only familiar with the fantastic "To the Stars" cue, and now I'm wondering about a complete release. Any chances?

Wouldn't that be awesome? It seems you just get lost in this score and it's all over. As scrapsly stated in the previous post, this is one of Edelman's finest. Justin, who knows? Perhaps someday....

I would love an expanded release (with the repeat of that key cue removed...having it twice in the program robs it of its power and impact).

I started a thread sometime ago, something like "Composers You Love and Didn't Know it". Randy Edelman fits that description for me. I'm generally not into synth, but he always delivers scores with lovely themes.
