We are all good at whining when our favourite cue has been left off a soundtrack LP or CD. Rightly so. But if you could swap just one cue for another on a particular soundtrack album which cue would it be.

My first choice would be to swap Lapti Nek for Fight In The Dungeon on the original Return of The Jedi album.

Does it have to be one cue, if not, all cues from JOHN CARPENTER TO GEORGES DELERUE, ALL CUES FROM JAMES HORNER TO JERRY GOLDSMITH AND ALL CUES FROM HANS ZIMMER TO JOHN WILLIAMS.

Let's have order here. smile it can only be one cue, preferably from originally released scores/ soundtracks.
With expanded and complete editions there's no real point. smile

True Lies (Brad Fiedel)
Swap "Juno's Place" with "Bathroom Fight."

U.S. Marshals (Jerry Goldsmith)
Swap "Airport Locker" with "Cargo Ship Confrontation."

Swap "Blush Response" on Blade Runner with the cue from Rachel's and Deckard's conversation just prior to the love scene.

Swap "The Scavengers" on Enemy Mine with the music for Zamis's running away and capture.

Good choice.

On the 'STAR WARS' album, I would swap "The Walls Converge" (too repetitious) for the unreleased "The Stormtroopers", "Cantina Band No. 2" or perhaps "Mos Eisley Spaceport"....

A couple of albums come to mind....

Superman The Movie
Swap March of the Villains with...I don't know.....THE HELICOPTER RESCUE!!!!!!

The Empire Strikes Back
Swap Yoda's Theme with......Losing a Hand

In fact, you could lose Yoda's Theme and replace it with about 20 cues back then.

PLANET OF THE APES (1968)

Swap any other cue on the original LP for "The Hunt". Perhaps one of the most egregious album omissions of all time.

DARKMAN

Out: the 'Pauly's in the Car...and on the Bench' cue

In: the 'Darkman Swings' cue (and I don't give a damn if Sheffer wrote this and not Elfman; it's awesome music)

For "The Empire Strikes Back" album, I would swap "The Departure of Boba Fett", which is just an excerpt from "Carbon Freeze", for the full-length (11:13) "Carbon Freeze" track. Yes, it might make sequencing a little awkward for an LP, but we are just proposing *ideal* (or "dream") track listings here, right?

I'd swap out "Into It" on the Varese Starship Troopers for "Carmen's Shuttle Ride," the best theme in the movie which gets only a fleeting presence on the album. If swapping a song (albeit one that appeared in the movie) is too pat, I'd have gladly sacrificed "FedNet March" for it, starting the album straight off with "Klendathu Drop."

Good call.
The original album was so short that "The Hunt" could have been added in any case.

On Her Majesty's Secret Service - I'd swap Over And Out for Gumbold's Safe Break. I may even swap the lounge-like version of We Have All The Time In The World for Sir Hilary's Night Out too.

On Doctor Who - The Specials by Murray Gold, they've missed out the best track of the entire 'End of Time' two parter - the Master transforming the entire human race into Master duplicates. I'm still staggered how they could do that and leave on Song For Ten (reprise) which adds nothing in my opinion. So I'd swap them.

Nooooooo! The Nightclub Brawl is one of my favourite tracks, one of the busiest and funnier action music from John Williams. Just wish they had added the Anything Goes overdub...

On Temple Of Doom I would have swapped the album edit of the Finale and End Credits for the film version.

On the original album I would have swapped "Temple of Doom" for "To Pankot Palace".

Not to get too off-topic here, but isn't there also a cue in the "Diamonds Are Forever" score called "Bond Smells a Rat"?
