It was recently announced that Shout/Scream Factory will be re-releasing Sam Raimi's DARKMAN on special edition Blu-Ray this December. It just occurred to me that Danny Elfman's excellent score has been OOP for quite some time. Will an expanded re-release be on the horizon soon? I know that James Horner's BRAINSTORM theme isn't part of the score, but it sure makes the trailer exciting :-).
It would also be nice if "Darkman 2" and "Darkman 3" would be released. They've never been available before. Perhaps, a boxed set is in order.
The DARKMAN franchise is owned by Universal, so it is most likely that any CDs of the soundtracks would be released by Intrada. Intrada don't do boxed sets though, so they would more likely be seperate releases (or maybe a release of DARKMAN and a two-fer release of DARKMAN 2 and 3, depending on how long those scores are). I imagine that the Elfman score would be the priority for them, if they are considering these titles.
