Hi all! As the title of this thread says, I'm looking for some help in identifying some library music. This was music that was used extensively in the Japanese anime series "Gatchaman" (Better known here as "Battle of the Planets" or "G-Force"). You see, the series has an unusual musical history, at least as far as most anime series go. The series had original music created for it, composed by Bob Sakuma, but it also made use of music from at least two library music catalogs. One of these libraries has been identified as France's Montparnasse 2000 library music catalog. The music from the MP2000 catalog, coupled with Mr. Sakuma's compositions, cover a lot of the musical ground used in the series, but hardly all of it. Unfortunately, no one in the fandom for this series has been able to identify the source(s) for the remaining music. That's why I'm turning to all of you. I'm hoping that someone on these boards will recognize any of the unidentified music and be able to point me toward where it came from. Below you will find links to several episodes of the series, and at what time into each episode the music in question can be heard in the background. If you've got a few minutes to spare, please take a listen and see if any of these pieces of music ring a bell for you. The "titles" I'm listing here are mine, and are intended simply as a descriptive of the type of music it is. Their lack of originality can be placed solely on me. ;-) http://kissanime.com/Anime/Kagaku-Ninja-Tai-Gatchaman/Episode-053?id=28851 1:44 - Doom and Gloom music 7:28 - Destruction music http://kissanime.com/Anime/Kagaku-Ninja-Tai-Gatchaman/Episode-051?id=28843 10:59 - Melancholy music 12:42 - Happy Flashback music http://kissanime.com/Anime/Kagaku-Ninja-Tai-Gatchaman/Episode-041?id=28833 2:36 - Rock music 1 6:54 - Rock music 2 13:05 - Rock music 3 http://kissanime.com/Anime/Kagaku-Ninja-Tai-Gatchaman/Episode-047?id=28839 6:52 - Mysterious music 9:38 - Dramatic Tension music http://kissanime.com/Anime/Kagaku-Ninja-Tai-Gatchaman/Episode-069?id=28867 1:45 - Desert Travel music 11:56 - Mysterious music 2 18:11 - Spooky music http://kissanime.com/Anime/Kagaku-Ninja-Tai-Gatchaman/Episode-102?id=28847 1:58 - Destruction music 2 3:50 - Destruction music 3 Before anyone suggests it, I'm well aware that more music was created for the series, composed by Hoyt Curtin, when it was brought to America as "Battle of the Planets" in 1978, and that even more music was created for it, this time by Dean Andre, when it was rereleased as "G-Force" in 1986. While these sources are a good thought, they aren't the source of the music in question. Instead, the music I'm after was music used when the series was first produced in Japan between 1972 and 1974. Anyway, I realize that this is a long shot, so I want to thank you all in advance for any help that you can offer, and thank you for just taking the time to listen and trying to help! I really do appreciate it! James

Hi all! Just bumping this up, since I'm still hoping that someone might recognize any of the music. I also wanted to take the opportunity to thank all of you who have taken the time to watch the videos and listen to the music in an effort to help. I do appreciate it! James
