What still makes me wonder is that the London Symphony Orchestra is credited for the HAREM recording in the Quartet booklet (there is of course a reason why the COLETTE CD mentions neither an orchestra nor a conductor for the music).
However, the End Title of the film itself clearly - and even in surprisingly big letters - states that the film recording was performed by L`Orchestre de Paris and that it was conducted by Billy Byers. So why should Byers - who was SardeĀ“s regular conductor and orchestrator during the mid-80s - have conducted L`Orchestre de Paris as well as the LSO in 1985? This seems to be another Sarde puzzle which nobody has solved till now. Or does anybody have an explanation for this?
