Ooh! Happy Jerry week! :-)

Two great scores IMHO especially Forever Young. Some thoughts based on the announcement alone:

SLEEPING WITH THE ENEMY

There’s not a lot of stuff missing from this, mostly repeats of the theme, and the sound was already great on the Sony disc, but it will be a nice to have. I probably won’t miss “Brown Eyed Girl”.

Great news about Jim Titus! This will look as fabulous as it sounds!

FOREVER YOUNG

There’s not a lot of unreleased stuff on this either (the generous run time is due to the welcome mixture of album/film versions and alternates) BUT fabulous news that James Nelson is re-mastering. This one needs some serious life bringing to it (the original CD sounds awful!) and Nelson is definitely the one to do it. Please make this one sound good!

Excellent that we'll finally get the cue where Gibson's frozen tube is found by the kids!

Really bad news that David “C” Fein has done the art. Easily my least favourite art designer. I guess we can expect the same Big Screen cover, probably slightly washed out, and then some hideously photoshop-graded art on the inside?

Two definite purchases anyway. Oh yes!

Three new Goldsmith releases this week and it's still only Tuesday! ;-)

Yes, that is the only thorn here,
His last name must be pronounced "feign" as in "to give a false appearance of".
In this case, it would refer to giving a false appearance of good art design.

WooHoo!

Forever Young is so bought, don't know Sleeping With The Enemy at all so not so sure about that.

Now will FSM surprise us with another Goldsmith title?

Had both of these on cassette back in the day (Forever Young might have been amongst the first three or four Goldsmith scores I ever bought), and Young is probably the only one I'd upgrade to CD for. I don't really remember Sleeping With The Enemy, and since it's from the same year that Goldsmith wrote his very mediocre Not Without My Daughter, it'd be too close to "bottlecap" territory for me. Still, great to have these back in print for anyone who wants them.

There's nothing bottlecap about Sleeping With The Enemy. Or Not Without My Daughter for that matter. Just because they're not Total Recall doesn't make them any less important.

Three Goldsmith's in a month? You mean three Goldsmith's in a week. It's unprecedented! I love it!!!

I never saw Sleeping With The Enemy Straight, yet was familiar with the album that I wasn't floored by. One night I came home to my mother watching it. A scene was playing an unreleased cue that really caught my attention and lamented it's absence on the album. Hopefully, this new album will included it. :-)

Forever Young is another Gem I look forward to revisiting.

My only complaint is that I'd reverse the smilies - I've never been a fan of the likes of Billie Holiday (well, the law of averages demands that someone hate that stuff) and "Brown Eyed Girl" was even in the TRAILER for Sleeping With The Enemy!
