I am not sure if this will help in getting an actual release, but... it is obvious that I would definitely be purchasing the score once it got released!
I also start up threads like this, and then - I only get less than 10 replies of people stating they enjoy the score etc. But since I need a "following" for my threads... I think I should start replying to threads like this one.... I hope that it works out for you. I am a huge fan of the Tarzan films! So I welcome any score release of those films (or the Ron Ely TV series).
The whole thing really actually does sound rather John Scott-like, doesn't it? A little bit of Antony and Cleopatra meets Harem indeed in those sunny, lush string arrangements and sparkling orchestrations.
Surely there are more scores out there that share such a disposition, obscure or otherwise?
Nice to hear from you by the way Kari - Long time no speak!
If there's any chance of this being released I would purchase it. Any Tarzan scores are good listening. Maybe La-La or Intrada could release this, I'd be very happy.
The bump awakens. Caught this film yesterday, and want to pledge my support for a release of this wondrous score. I didn't catch the credits as they played, so I thought throughout that John Scott was the responsible party, but lo and behold someone else has talent to boot! Go figure.
I see that Silent Night, Deadly Night received a release, and based on the strength of Tarzan, I'll be sure to pick that up soon.

It really does sound extremely Scott-like, doesn't it? Something about the harmonies, lush arrangements - it really screams out in his style. You might be mistaking it for GREYSTOKE.
