Howdy Pardners!

The following two titles will be made available through our website next Tuesday June 21 at 11 am PST:

THE SENDER
MUSIC BY TREVOR JONES
LLLCD 1137
LIMITED EDITION OF 1500 UNITS
RETAIL PRICE: $19.98

Produced by Dan Goldwasser
Mastered by Mike Matessino
Liner Notes by John Takis
Art Direction by Mark Banning

This presentation of Trevor Jones' score to THE SENDER came from a 1/4 " mono source found in the Paramount vault. As it was not the complete score, it could be surmised that this source was intended to be used for an LP release at the time of the film's release - but it is not certain that is the case. The material was transferred by Johnny "Dee" Davis at Precision AudioSonics, and once an assembly was compiled, digital mastering was handled by Mike Matessino. THE SENDER is a moody and affecting score, and we hope that you enjoy this early work by Trevor Jones.

BAD GIRLS (EXPANDED)
MUSIC BY JERRY GOLDSMITH
LLLCD 1169
LIMITED EDITION OF 3000 UNITS
RETAIL PRICE: $19.98

Produced by Nick Redman
Mastered by Daniel Hirsch at D2 Mastering
Liner Notes by Jeff Bond
Art Direction by Davis C. Fein

Runnin' a lil' over 60 minutes this newly remastered and expanded edition of the maestro's last Western score is the rootin-est, tootin-est, shootin-est, galoot north, east, west, and south of La La Land Records! This rousin' score will certainly kick the dust off yer boots and make ya wanna saddle up to one the purdy stars to this action packed western. Detailed liner notes by everyones favorite cowboy Jeffy "THE KID" Bond takes you on a journey through the films facinatin' history and Mr. Goldsmith's complex score.

See y'all back here next week!

YEE HAW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You gave Friday Night Light's intended catalog number to The Sender! I guess the FNL release truly is dead and buried!!

Interesting that you didn't re-use Bubba Ho-Tep's intended catalog number (1110) for another score after that one was canceled....

Anyways, I haven't heard this particular score before, but I do like other Trevor Jones scores. Looking forward to the samples!

From what I've heard of Bad Girls on youtube, that'll be an easy purchase as well! Woo hoo!

Nice! Looking forward to BAD GIRLS... thanks Lala! Love these 90's Goldsmith titles... makes me miss the old days of looking forward to new Goldsmith titles. Expanding them is the next best thing!

MV, last week you said:

June 21 - 2 New Releases.

PLEASE NOTE: The titles will go on sale at 11 am PST June 21 instead of 1 pm PST. Reason being, our webmaster is heading out of town that day for a long vacation and needs to upload everything a bit early.

Is this no longer the case?

Fantastic!
Can't wait to have the complete score for BAD GIRLS.
I always had the impression that Jerry Goldsmith really enjoyed writing this music. It's wonderfully rhythmic and wild. And the main theme is simply gorgous, especially when performed on the guitar.

Ace-High, LaLaLand! smile

I'm just glad you poor Goldsmith fans are finally getting a new release. It's been what... a whole week?

All joking aside, I'm all over this like white on rice.

If only I didn't have to conserve some cash for my planned holidays next month. I hope these will stick around until August at the least. Fine pickings here, even if I am not familiar with either.

I do find it interesting that after Bubba Ho-Tep was canceled, its intended catalog # (1010) was never re-used for a subsequent title.

But then after Friday Night Light's release was canceled, its intended catalog # (1137) was reused about a year later for The Sender.

I wonder why the difference? Makes me wonder if The Flash (1101) and Independence Day (1113) also re-used catalog numbers of canceled titles.... They each came out 7 months and 4 months respectively after the other catalog numbers around their number.

Anyways, wiki updated!

Not familiar with the Bad Girls score, but will check out the samples to see if they tickle my fancy....

I'm definitely down for The Sender. It's been a fantastic week for horror fans!

Simply put Bubba was WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY into production when the rug was pulled out from underneath us. The cd was booked all over the place and was in place to go on sale.

Only Brian Tyler and I have the final correct masters of that score.

FNL was just announced and booked mark for that slot.

As for the other titles The Flash took 9 months to approve and was supposed to premiere to in tandem with BSG 4 at Comic Con that year (our 100th release) but failed to make it.

As for ID4 we had initially intended to have it out in November that year for our black Friday release but it got delayed due to Mr Arnold's schedule.
