...and then there is "Dostona" in which two straight guys, both mega stars in India, masquerade as gay in order to live in a fab Miami Beach apartment. Here are the leads from early on in the film doing the show-y off-y thing:

It is an atrociously homophobic film in almost all ways. But Mr. Abraham is a stunner.

,,.and Hrithik Roshan, from "Dhoom 2":

Both "Dhoom" and "Dhoom 2" were gigantic hits.

Sorry for so many posts!

Update: Looks like there are now 4 films in the "Dhoom" franchise...

  • SONG OF NORWAY - Just like THE SOUND OF MUSIC--a bucolic mountain setting, a sweet leading lady (Florennce Henderson), a wooden leading man (Toralv Maurstadt), and toe-tapping songs by Greig.

Trying this one soon. Looking forward to hearing FH sing.

I'd call that a form of "giganto," so I'll give it a spin.

Spinning it before SONG OF NORWAY, so that LH won't pale even more by comparison.

Another one deserving mention is KISMET (1955), directed by Vincente Minnelli. MGM spared nothing in production values, including wonderful Andre Previn scoring of music by Borodin. The cast stars Ann Blyth, Howard Keel and Dolores Gray. What could go wrong? Just about everything. The film stubbornly refuses to come to life. It has been written that Minnelli became bored with the entire enterprise, and was more interested in preparing for his next film—LUST FOR LIFE. And it shows. Charles Walters (uncredited) actually finished the film.

    Spun.

I starting fast-forwarding about 20-30 minutes in. Almost nobody sang for themselves, and the lead was a dull romantic figure.

Fascinating was how enjoyable it was just to hear Charles Boyer talk! He had a nice voice, noticeable alongside the dull goings-on.
