The quartet release of 'Women in Love' is one of my favorites, I'm thankful for it! The score seems complete on the disc and then there are 'Extras' with additional songs and music pieces. However, not meaning to nit-pick, but there's one bit of music from the film that I miss, and I realize I'm probably the only one. The scene on the island where Gudrun dances expressively among the trees, and the song, 'I'm forever blowing bubbles' is sung by (Glenda Jackson?). It's a quiet, somber rendition of the song, but it added feeling to the scene. Was it omitted from the c.d. because it's a vocal? There are no other vocals on the disc. Just wondering.
a wonderful film and lovely Delerue score - I wish I had the cd... Glenda sang this on popcorn w Peter Travers(on hulu). while she was doing 3 TALL WOMEN on B'WAY last summer. maybe it was not considered right for the cd.
