Ok, where did this come from? confused

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt8325986/fullcredits?ref_=tt_cl_sm#cast

Does it sound like mid 60s Williams to you?

Sure, could be, could not be. I wonder what person uploaded that info to the IMDB profile, and what his grounds are.

Fascinating find! Certainly sounds plausibly like Williams of that era. The link says the spots were directed by Richard Avedon. I wonder who uncovered this info.

yes, i wonder too, because - at least now (i don't know how it was done in the past) - when you upload some new info at imdb you have to have a source, a link or something to substantiate your information.

How do we find out who uploaded the information? How can we verify it?

I know that Danny Elfman has several erroneous entries on his IMDB profile, uploaded without any seeming source or link. Usually because an amateur filmmaker has used an Elfman or Boingo piece, and wants to "fake news" it for free PR for his or her movie.

Maybe we could ask imdb? smile

The theme has certainly some Williams traits:
large leaps in melody, added-note chords, that harp gliss in the end (heard better at 2.20')

edit: I just sent an email to imdb.
Hope they reply.

i received my generic reply:

"The information in IMDb comes from various sources. Most of it is either researched by our staff or submitted by our users. For more information, please visit this link:

https://help.imdb.com/article/imdb/general-information/how-do-you-get-your-infor...

Even if we could track down who sent a specific piece of data, it is our policy not to disclose contact details or any other information about our users and contributors.

Please let us know if we can help you further. "

i hope Mr. Eldridge comes to the rescue with some more info!

Not so. When creating a new page they will often ask for that, and only then it's just proof the project exists, not proof of every credit on the project.

well, I submitted some awards to my imdb page recently and I had to provide with proof (a mention in the internet or something).
On the other hand I don't know if it was obligatory and if they would add the awards if I had no source.

IMDb and Wikipedia are 100% Fan Base.

So Any Tom, Dick, or Don Lump can write anything. Bam it’s true.

And both can be corrected.

Also, some Wikipedia pages can be locked, where either only registered and logged-in users can edit or certain people can edit (some pages that get defaced constantly, are locked, for example)..
