Here's a bizarre concept: instead of a rock or a soul singer doing the Super Bowl Halftime Show, what film composer in concert would you like to see?

Well, it's got to be somebody that will appeal to them. Two guys that pop into my head:

John Williams.
He can play popular themes. He can get away with that. That's not something Debney or Shapiro are going to get away with.

Mike Post.
Play two or three of his famous TV themes (like "Magnum, pi") and a few brief cues with a beat that will keep the audience from glazing over, should work.

It would be hysterical if they didn't announce beforehand who the halftime show would feature. People would be expecting Rhianna or Lady Gaga or someone like that. Instead, they get MIKE POST and his orchestra! The crestfallen looks on their faces and Tweets would be hysterical.

How about Joel McNeely?

Get it? "neel"! Knee! Bwahahahaha!

I mean Hans Zimmer.

Ha, ha...yeah. Mike Post, of all people. Justin, you're a peculiar fellow.

It would have to be something like John Williams or Hans Zimmer to have any sort of impact.

I'd like to see Tom Hedden or Dave Robidoux conduct a medley of their own NFL Films music with a special tribute to Sam Spence included in the program.

Anything by Albert Glasser would work.
