Oh yes, been looking forward to this for a while now.
Scorsese, Pacino and De Niro have all been making films steadily in the last couple of decades (although some of them less than stellar, to put it mildly), while Pesci has more or less retired. Which is why I was surprised to see his 'weathered' look in that video.
I have absolutely no idea what this film's about, but from the image I'd hazard a guess that it's going to be moderately violent. Possibly even PG13 violence.
i]Heath – howdy, it’s BEEN awhile ? - it’s about mob hitman Frank Sheehan (where the film gets its title) who supposedly was the one who whacked Frank Hoffa, leading to the latter’s still decades-old unsolved disappearance, murder and disposal.
Given all the creative collaborators’ legendary past explorations in the gangster genre, this may be the last great hurrah for everyone concerned to go out on a master note equal to what went before …
By now (the news broke yesterday) it's uncommon knowledge Joe Pesci will be joining this already beyond-heavyweight cast. It starts shooting next month through December.
If they've come up with a script anywhere near this particular scene for all concerned, this will be one of the must-sees of next year ...
[ And, respectfully, Asgardian, we'd really reserve any public proclamation about Mr. Nicholson vis-a-vis who is or ain't 'Da Greatest' ANYTHING. Yeah, we all have our choices but it's impossible to prove or disprove. In the end, it's just personal preference - not omnipotent definitive opinion. ]
Still makes me wince to see a Scorsese movie going straight-to-Netflix.
That's the deal now Mr Jack. Most movies go to Netflix that are new, this film could be good though it has the right actors, it just needs a decent script.
Bobby. Cannavale has been a major Keep-Your-Eye-On-Him presence for quite some time now, having played Mr. Pacino’s screen role in the recent Broadway production of “Glengarry Glen Ross”.
As for Mr. Keitel,
if'n we gotta update you on HIS pivotal presence with Messrs. Scorsese & De Niro,
you really have been residing in another galaxy incredibly far away since the 70s.
