Yep, reading the various current threads and the many excellent replies especially those generated by Missdaisy's current lament(!] I feel it is all very heartening! It does look very much like our great labels (with all respects to Varese, another great label indeed) such as Intrada, LLL, Kritzerland, Monstrous Movie Music, SAE, BSX, (I'm sure I've forgotten some too!) especially are in there battling as hard as ever to make things happen and get things done and get those beloved film score goodies out to us hungry aficionados! I sure do miss FSM and Tribute, two giants, who made magnificent contributions! Meanwhile over here on the other side of the pond our boys are no slouches either! With the likes of Tadlow, Prometheus, Quartet, Music Box, Kronos, Saimel etc going great guns! And then we have the ever reliable and active Italian brigade of Beat Records, Digitmovies, GDM, Four Flies Records and others being as industrious as ever in combing the dusty vaults for those hidden and well known gems! All in all, I just hope I can keep up and that the money holds out long enough for me to get everything I need before I croak it. Well done everybody, all ye dearly beloved Labels. I salute you and love you all!

Even new labels are entering the fray with Stylotone and Notefornote.

Things are great with every label, I was completely wrong on every single level. I profusely apologize for my ignorance smile

Now who's going to tackle THE HEARSE release?

With recent releases at Kritzerland and Varese and newer labels, I do believe "golden" and "silver" age releases will still be around for quite awhile. Not as often as they used to be, because musical tastes change with the times. But people will still be drawn to the beautiful melodies of the past.

I just read that there's a Blu-ray in the works due May 2017.

The new Rifleman 2 CD set "ordered" and a Cisco Kid release promised for sometime later this summer, a fabulous Wonder Woman 3 CD set only a throw of a lasso away, and the wonderful announcement from Tribute Records that they are considering recording again, hey, things ARE picking up! I'm gonna keep believing'!

And don't forget, at least if I'm remembering correctly, isn't there an expanded and remastered "JFK" on the horizon from one of the labels? Something for ME to look forward to anyway. smile

Stylotone is dedicated to Herrmann and Cordell. The Rifleman release is probably a one-off from Laurel Records. I dont think there's some kind of renaissance going on. It's more like what I suggested earlier - everyone needs to start a kickstarter for their own grails, rather than pinning their hopes on the labels as they sputter out (look at Varese and MMM).

I too would like to know where that was announced. The last news/blog entry on their website is from 2012 :-(
