Yes, but I don't believe there was ever a release date promised.

Just wanted to get that in before the inevitable deluge of hate.

I hope they became bankrupt, so sooner o later we will see proper Marnie release, done by label with sane brains (Intrada, LLL, Varese etc.)

Stylotone did proper releases for their previous two titles, but this message board wasn't the target audience.

Indeed, it was expensive but proper. That's not like it was a bad sounding bootleg, vinyl only, or a MP3 download.

But of course! Target audience for BERNARD HERRMANN release is people who even don't know WHO Herrmann is. Except knowing that he composed Twisted Nerve song for Kill Bill. And MAYBE (just MAYBE!) some of them get some knowledge about Psycho. They just know that "LP is cool, LP is in trend, LP sounds much-much better (especially after hundreds times of playing, he-he)"

The thread might have gone the opposite direction if you'd said "deluge of praise."

September 2016 was the original release date for MARNIE.

Bankrupt? Hope so, then a real label like Intrada, Kritzerland, Quartet, Music Box, LLL etc. will then issue a proper $20 CD.

Guess not too many teen dope-heads (their target group?) are interested in Bernard Herrmann.

The target audience was a niche market that isn't buying older scores like thye used to, that have to buy an out-dated format that, as I recall, came with everything but Bernard Herrmann's kitchen sink, that includes score fans overseas who are already struggling to afford regular one-disc releases because of shipping costs and customes fees. If Stylotone profitted on any of these releases and can keep going to do more, than I'd be shocked. I'm open to being wrong though.

It is good that you are open to being wrong.

On the Herrmann message board forum, I believe it was Guenther who opined that MARNIE is still coming from Stylotone.

I really enjoyed their TWISTED NERVE. The presentation was extremely deluxe with all the goodies that came with it including the LP & EP. I'am sure MARNIE will follow suit. Looking forward to it.

Well Amer, I think you've got to get Guenther off his duff and get MARNIE released like he said he would...it was supposed to be September 2016 for the full release.
