Yes, Atlantis is my favorite score from James Newton Howard and one of my most anticipated grails. Some quite wonderful music left off the album, which was a fantastic album nonetheless. I eagerly await an expansion from Intrada.

All around awesome score. The music during the climax of the film is simply amazing. I've never even heard of the enhanced edition before! Referencing that SoundtrackCollector link, the enhanced edition is "identical to [the standard release] except this was a limited edition of 20,000 (individually numbered) which included a 3-D insert." So unless you've just got to have that 3D insert, there's no real draw to the enhanced edition (i.e. no additional music). And yes, I agree about the climax. Atlantis, for me, is one of those scores that starts out solid—quite strong even—and then, out of nowhere, explodes in the second half into all of this marvelous music you had no idea was coming. How I long to have this score released complete (FYC notwithstanding).
