Both enjoyable scores ... if not the best from the late, great, Mr. Budd.
But I can never stop smiling (laughing?) at the mistake in the CD artwork which misnamed the latter score (and film!)
Neither were great films but I have enjoyed watching both at least twice. I recall getting to see The Internecine Project (1974) on its release, courtesy of my local evening newspaper which ran a simple competition.
You haven't heard anything until you've heard "Fear is the key" fun film and a cracking soundtrack. He could have done James Bond easily. Just listen to "Who dares wins".
His opening cues were rock solid and moved like freight train going down hill.
All Roy Budd scores are very consistent musically Excellent I could listen to Roy Budd all day long he's that good, I don't have a favourite score maybe I listen to the Who Dares Wins a Weeney more than the others A skilled composer that was taken far too earlier respect to Budd.

Me too, just for interest, but to be honest the sounds are now so much a part of the track that I'd probably miss them.
I get the impression that Roy Budd is just about the only composer we regularly discuss here that nobody has a bad word for. And quite right too - an impeccable and brilliant musician by ANY standards other than, sadly, longevity.
Underrated genius. Never heard a bad score by him. And he had a distinctive musical voice - within a few notes, you knew it was him.
Roy Budd...........a musical genius.............who strangely was only really appreciated after he died.............he could basically do anything musically better than anyone else...............and as a person he was great fun to spend time with.....
Not a fan of "funk" or that "Bond sound", but I *love* SINBAD AND THE EYE OF THE TIGER and FIELDS OF HONOR, despite the diabolical sound quality on the later score. This man really, really knew what he was doing with an orchestra, and I wish he had written more straight orchestral work.
I love all the scores I have by him; even his non film music is terrific. I'm hoping that some label will eventually release the complete film tracks to "Catlow".
Do not forget his last orchestral score for THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA - simply beautiful ! And his CONCERTO FOR HARRY is one of my all-time favorites...sad that nearly all of his jazz recordings were never available on CD. And the three japanese SCREEN THEMES records he made in the mid-seventies (where he recorded dozens of film themes) are completely unknown - fantastic stuff !

Don't know how I forgot that one - You're right, it's a terrific work, with a big sumptuous gothic theme. The strings and brass really earned their paychecks on this one. If I have any criticism, it's only that the main theme is heard in a few too many identical iterations for my taste. Still fantastic music regardless, possibly Budd's magnum opus as well.
