Perhaps someone has already posted about this on the message board and I missed it, but I just read about it over on the IMDb message board.
NPR's weekly film-music program THE SCORE -- which I wasn't even aware of -- has just done an episode titled "Elmer Bernstein: A Son's Perspective," with Peter Bernstein as interviewee and co-commentator:
Bless you, Peter, for finding this show and letting us know of its existence! You're certainly not the only one who has never heard about THE SCORE before. I hope we all check out the show's home page and heed and act upon its plea that we contact our local NPR station programmers and beseech them to add THE SCORE to their broadcast line-up.
I like Edmund's show a lot... it's too bad that some of the score cuts aren't played in the full and/or are narrated over. But he does cram a lot into 60 minutes.
Besides that, it's a good sounding and well-researched program.
I'm in Canada. I listen to his show on-line. I'm a long time listener. I've had his show listed in my Podcast/Radio Show links section of my web site for years!
Really enjoyed the Bernstein programme and others.
Our precious niche needs ambassadors to critique, discuss, and explore the world of film music.
These sorts of podcasts must require a lot of effort and I can only be thankful for them. To all podcasters, across the globe, I can only offer a comment to "keep up the great work!"
