I think these films have great cinematography, I honestly can't choose. I would have loved it if John Seale won the Oscar for FURY ROAD but unfortunately it didn't happen.

I would say Dean Semler on THE ROAD WARRIOR.

Here's why:

In the same way most fans of film scoring believe that Jerry Goldsmith defined the sound and style of the “continuous-hyper action score” with TOTAL RECALL, Dean Semler's work with George Miller in THE ROAD WARRIOR defined the look and style of the “exterior action film.” It could also be said that cinematographer Jan DeBont's work on DIE HARD defined the look and style of the “interior action film.”
