It's not a DVD or Blu-ray release, but I will take it.

Good news -- I think that film is woefully neglected and has terrific work from all the actors . especially Tuesday Weld and Diane Keaton. Hopefully it is in letterbox format. And hopefully it will be issued on Blu-ray too.

No wonder I've never gotten to see it.

It is curious how certain films are neglected --

They become forgotten as successive generations have no way to see them.

TCM did a good job with another Paramount picture that has never been released on DVD/Blu-ray.
TCM presented "Little Darlings" (1980) uncut and in it original 2.35:1 aspect ratio.
A good sign for LFMG.

I must have seen this on video, then, about 30 years ago.

It's not been uncommon in the past to see a film that hasn't been released on DVD get a DVD release shortly after being shown on TCM. The Thief Who Came to Dinner, Love and Pain (and the Whole Damn Thing) and Every Little Crook and Nanny come to mind. Maybe there's some small hope for Goodbar, but paying for those music rights may really be a problem.

I have long wanted to see it and finally caught it on TCM. Did anyone else watch?

Spoilers:

Overall, I really liked it. I thought it was longer than it needed to be; The first hour with all of her background could have been condensed.

I thought it was a little unrealistic that every guy in her life was a creep. I understand that was the point that was trying to be made, but it came off as a little cartoonish. The ending was very effective on one level - especially with the strobe light - but it felt heavy handed and moralizing.

Still, very much worth seeing. I am surprised it is not on DVD or Blu Ray.

Are they playing this late at night? If I recall correctly, there was a lot of nudity and profanity in this movie, not to mention it's incredibly depressing storyline.
