I thought Phoebe Cates's pool scene from "Fast Times At Ridgemont High" wore out the most video tapes due to pausing.

Well, msmith, #10 would have been all mine, except it's included in this list. I wasn't aware that the sandwiched image in the Psycho lap dissolve was common knowledge.

Ha, I guessed number one before I saw the video. The video missed the supposed erection in 'The Little Mermaid", or the naked women in the window in "The Rescuers".

Whenever I paused a film, it was during some particular FX sequence, to see if I could suss out how it was done.

Done the same. I've also gone frame by frame studying animation. Especially effects animation. I also discovered anime has a lot of subliminal messages in them. You can't see them unless you frame advance.
