After being very pleasantly surprised by "Bridge of Spies", I am positively looking forward to this film, and the trailer does nothing to dissuade me from doing so. Even more so as it will again have a score written by Williams.
Impressive! I loved the London pictures: Hook meets Harry Potter... Can't wait for another great child fantasy score from John Williams. He's so good at this!
No doubt some generic fantasy piece by a trailer house, Thomas. Early Spielberg trailers often feature this type of music, with a later one including some snippets (finally) of the work of God...sorry, the new JW score.
This is Spielberg's second Disney film, his first being Bridge of Spies.
This is also John Williams' second Disney film, his first being The Force Awakens.
I think this is Spielberg's first "Disney"-branded film. Bridge of Spies was distributed as a Touchstone film, but if you count that, you'd also need to include War Horse and Lincoln. So The BFG is technically the fourth Spielberg-directed film to be distributed by Disney, and the first to actually carry the Disney brand. (It also might be the last since Dreamworks is apparently looking for a new distributor.)

Dreamworks signed a lengthy distribution deal with Disney in 2009. WARHORSE was through Disney. Disney also had a stake in LINCOLN, although I think Fox released it in the US.

Exactly. "The Force Awakens" isn't Disney-branded, either. And I can't imagine Williams hasn't scored other films released by Disney divisions besides the ones mentioned above. For instance, wasn't "Nixon" from Hollywood Pictures?
Probably a very stupid question, but now that Williams has a pacemaker and is apparently doing fine, will he be able to resume ALL conducting duties on his scores?
mmm... that theme, if not the whole arrangement for the trailer, sounds very Williams-esque to me.
I'm almost sure that's Williams we are hearing. Haven't heard it before, and I dont think its generic trailer music. Reminds me when the first Harry Potter trailer featured Williams' theme
