Does anybody there recall an episode of "Wagon Train" that was scored by Hugo Friedhofer? I recall that Daniele Amfitheathrof, Ernest Gold and Cyril Mockridge scored episodes beginning with the second season, but I can't recall the one by Friedhofer. Anybody out there have any info?

I can say for certain it's not in season two, if he scored an episode in the series.

all of those dudes scored TV episodes back then, but I'm always surprised when I see their screen credit.

IMDB, Soundtrackcollector, and googling do not indicate Friedhofer did "Wagon Train."

Based on the fact that Morton Stevens conducted a score of his in the final season of "Rawhide", if Hugo did score and episode, it probably fell when Morton did work on WT, in the last two seasons. It's a little logically stretched, but a good start.

I am only familiar with the episode of "Rawhide" that was scored by Friedhofer -- it was called "Six Weeks to Bent Fork" -- and is on this CD:

I'd love to know about the "Wagon Train" episode. The series was a favorite of mine -- and in hindsight I can safely say that much of my rapt enjoyment of the show was a direct result of the music from so many amazing composers.

My mistake -- I meant "Rawhide". In fact, I realized my mistake and was heading here to correct it. Beaten to the punch.

I found a bunch of season eight episodes on youtube, but they all have the end credits cut off.
