Sounds very intriguing, but the sound is very low in a lot of the passages. That is the point. The organ has 2 divisions under expression.

Received my copy yesterday. It sounds very good, particularly 'Orphans of Doom/Awakening'. I listened to the organ version of Anvil of Crom and then the score version and its fascinating to note how the transcription attempts to capture the nuances of the original. I think I'll be doing those back-to-back comparisons for all the tracks. Fans of the score should enjoy this this disc. Can't help but wonder what Basil would have thought of it.

The sample of "Battle of the mounds" reminds me a bit of the organ music that can vaguely heard in the church scenes of "Doctor Who and the Daemons". Speaking of that, when are we finally get a release of that? Truck loads of that modern bloated bombast DW but the proper DW remains in the crypts better than the Sylurians. D.S. Wow someone is still living in the 70's... If that makes you happy.. I'm quite happy with Murray Gold's score for DOCTOR WHO. As for this release, it's quite good and interesting. Ford A. Thaxton

If you visit the Rozsa forum, you'll learn that Herr Pelster, who has contributed to threads there on the release, is also recording an 'El Cid' album, about an hour long, as yet to be released.

Wonderful, news, William. Thanks for sharing that. El Cid would be perfect on the organ. And this recording is great fun, by the way! I don't usually smile and smile through an organ performance, but I sure do through this'un.
