Gotta be the FULL name, not just the first!

I'll be the first to say that the name "Jerry Goldsmith" would be a great dog name.

"Andre Previn"? I can't see this as a name for a dog.

"Miklos Rozsa"? Naah.

"George Duning" has possibilities.

Bernard Herrmann on a typical morning walk:

BUT, Bernard Herrmann has a heart at fire's center:

"Miklos" is surely a good name for a black pet, like this one :

Or, better : a mysterious black cat...

... but cats are certainly not welcomed in this dog topic !

I always thought that "Benjamin Frankel" would be a good name for a longhaired Dachshund (suggesting the composer's appearance).

Randy Edelman.

It would be amusing when he runs away in the park, and you're running around shouting "Randy! Randy?"

Great call, Urs. I was actually debating between the two, but went with Mancini since OnyaBirri always refers to Mancini's '70s output as his "combover period." big grin

????? has a nice doggystyle-y ring to it.

Edit: apparently Japanese is not allowed here. Whom I meant was: Michiru Oshima.

I agree that "Benjamin Frankel" would make a great dog's name.

Snoop Doggy Dogg might make a good dog name?!

I had a pal - totally unaware of the composer - but his two staffys were called Bernard and Herman!
When my mate and his wife wasnt about i used to hum Herrmann themes to them, just to see if they reacted!
One of them very definitely howled to my version of Day the Earth Stood Still ! Freaky.

And also I was thinking of naming another rlonghaired Dachshund Hans and a back and tan Dachshund Franz. Not, not after the two funny bodybuilders on "Saturday Night Live", but after Hans (J. Salter) and Franz (Waxman).

Dude, this is awesome. Miklos Rozsa is a great name for a black dog!

And you've inspired me to realize that Andre Previn is a great cat name!

Michiru Oshima seems like a poodle name to me.
