I'll be the first to say that the name "Jerry Goldsmith" would be a great dog name. "Andre Previn"? I can't see this as a name for a dog. "Miklos Rozsa"? Naah. I had a pal - totally unaware of the composer - but his two staffys were called Bernard and Herman! When my mate and his wife wasnt about i used to hum Herrmann themes to them, just to see if they reacted! One of them very definitely howled to my version of Day the Earth Stood Still !
