Heard this was coming out soon.

Is it expanded from the Varese?

Yeah, still can't find any info about if it differs in any way from the Varese though, which is what I think zooba wants to know...

I was just listened to this score again yesterday. Good stuff. I probably won't get the LLL version, but I'm glad its available again.

The Varese Club release seems to have the complete score and has great sound...glad it's back in print for those who missed out, but I'm not double-dipping.

Yes, it's a superb score !
The Varese edition is very hard to find nowadays.
But you can bet after the new LLL release.....it will suddenly re-appear.

I think the Varese was missing one very short piece of music I remember from the film.

It comes when Corky and Fats are sitting in his dressing room and Burgess Meredith as just left after seeing them perform and telling them they have a great future. Fats says "We're gonna be a Staaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar!" and Goldsmith's music swells big. Big Strings! I really think it was missing on the Varese, but it's on another version I have and it's an awesome short cue.

Hear it here at 15:30:

22 seconds of pure passion Goldsmith.

Awesome! Thanks MV.

Is the "Quacking Duck" sound pumped up on "Corky's Retreat"?

But of course it is. There's always :25 seconds to tempt (force?) Goldsmith fans to re-buy... :-/

Ordered! Always really loved this Goldsmith work the love theme is sublime, and Hopkins is terrific in a very underrated performance.

There are several Varese copies at Amazon for sale,However, I would wait for the LaLa with the extra cue.

Don't blame LLL, blame Varese for leaving it off their release! And maybe there will be alternates or something beyond just that...

It drives me crazy how so many Varese 'Deluxe Editions' were barely not complete...
