I just happened to be passing by and noticed a post whose subject title was "." and out of curiosity I clicked on the . and there was nothing there. Feeling a bit whimsical--something that happens on occasion here at this old building-and-loan messageboard--I decided to respond with a possible explanation as to what may have happened. And then you happened to respond instantaneously and so I rolled with it. The "Tantalus Field", as you must have googled, is indeed part of Star Trek lore. I expected to get a chuckle or 2 from anyone else who may have been passing by and understood the reference. That is all, no harm intended. Oh, and as for the Thor reference...well, anyone who's been around posting over here for as long as we have (like 17 years) knows that sometimes we take turns playing Prof. Moriarty to the other's Holmes, if you catch my drift.
