Bob S, Your take on this "print" of HTWWW is identical to mine. The level of detail was very good (although that was sometimes obscured by the lack of definition caused by everything being colored the same yellow-brown hue) and the aspect ratio was dead-on accurate, with no side-cropping at all. The sound quality, and the audio mix, were very impressive, too. I, too, thought the join-lines were even more invisible on the big screen than on my BluRay. But I suspect that the lines appeared more invisible in the theater presentation due to the flattening effect of the messed-up monochromatic image. Ordinarily, the lines are always more visible in shots of the sky, but with no color in the sky, the lines are more likely to disappear. But, good god, the color issue was SO extreme that it really, seriously detracted from the overall presentation. I would never squawk about some slight imbalance in the color, as I fully expect there to be some imperfections. But on a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being the absolute worst, I'd rate the color in this presentation as 1. I just don't see how it could have been any worse. The fact that the rest of the presentation was so great makes this all the more aggravating. It's hard to believe the people who provided the theater chain with this version of the film didn't make even a cursory quality check...
