TUESDAY, OCTOBER 21 SEVEN DEADLIEST HORROR VILLAINS---Vulture.com released its list of deadliest horror villains, "here's a users guide to seven of the genre’s most storied and imaginative villains, using info gleaned only from their original films (i.e., no remakes or reboots) and ranked in order of body count." 1. Jason Voorhees (FRIDAY THE 13TH)---over 150. 2. Michael Myers (HALLOWEEN)--over 70 3. Leprechaun (LEPRECHAUN)--49 4. Pinhead (HELLRAISER)--over 35 5. Chucky (CHILD'S PLAY)--35 6. Freddy Kreuger (A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET)--33 7. Leatherface (THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE)--10 SUICIDE SQUAD---director David Ayer (FURY) said, "I can say that it's a THE DIRTY DOZEN with supervillains. Then I can ask the question, 'Does a movie really need good guys?' The movie involves DC Comics villains freed from prison by the government to go on a suicidal secret mission in exchange for shorter sentences. Ryan Gosling, Tom Hardy, Margot Robbie and Will Smith are mentioned as candidates to star. THE MARTIAN---Sean Bean will play the NASA flight director in this Ridley Scott movie in which Matt Damon plays an astronaut stranded on Mars. Jeff Daniels, Jessica Chastain and Kate Mara co-star. THE FOREST---Natalie Dormer (GAME OF THRONES) stars in this horror movie as a woman searching for her missing sister in the Aokigahara Forest, "The Suicide Forest", near Mount Fuji and encounters the souls of the dead who prey on visitors. David Goyer (THE DARK KNIGHT) is the producer/co-writer. GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY 2---writer/director James Gunn said all five main characters and the actors (Chris Pratt, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Dave Bautista and Zoe Saldana) are returning. He added, "fans may see the team adding members." SHARKNADO 3---Syfy announced the sequel will be set on the "Feast (east) coast". DOCTOR STRANGE---Keanu Reeves denied rumors that he's a candidate to star in the movie, "I read about that. But I don't know the character Doctor Strange; I need to go brush up. So I don't know. It hasn't been brought to me. Back in the day I wanted to play Wolverine. But that was a long time ago, and they've got a really good Wolverine now." SCREAM QUEENS---Fox comedy/horror anthology tv series underway. Season 1 is set on a college campus where a series of gruesome murders take place. ARROW---Vinnie Jones (X-MEN: THE LAST STAND) will play villain Brick. FLORENCE---Meryl Streep and Hugh Grant star in this biomovie about Florence Foster Jenkins, an untalented New York heiress, who sought to become an opera star. MOANA---Disney animated movie underway in which a teenage girl, from the ancient South Pacific world of Oceania, teams up with demi-god Maui to find a legendary island. CABIN FEVER---Eli Roth is the executive producer of the remake of his 2002 horror movie. The remake will use the original movie's script. SCHITT'S CREEK---new POP (Tvgn) sitcom starring Eugene Levy, Catharine O'Hara and Chris Elliott. The plot involves an ex-video store magnate, now broke, who has to move his family to a small town he once bought for his son as a joke.
