I have an iPod 120 GB Classic. Are they discontinuing them too? At the moment, my own collection has outgrown its capacity, so I would need more space if I were to store my entire collection. So this is a bad news. Hopefully, they'll come up with another alternative that can store just as much, if not more. I need it.

The 120GB version was discontinued in 2009 in favour of the 160GB version (which a slimmer appearance), the max that you can get now on an iPod is 64GB, at the moment, unless you get an 128GB iPhone an use it for audio only.

Discontinued in 2009? Wow, I must have bought right before it happened, then.

There was actually an announcement several months ago that the 160GB would be discontinued. It was at that time I bought 2 more. Yes, that's right, you heard me correctly. I now have 3 160GB iPods because I like my music lossless and only really get to listen to it these days when I'm on the go.

I think it's insane that such an incredible way of listening to music is now discontinued, but it shows the lack of care people have for hearing their music in the quality many of us here on this board insist on.

Sounds like a good option. Seems to have largely positive reviews on head-fi.

Impressive specs by and large, but the battery life leaves something to be desired. The Sony NW-ZX1 and Astell & Kern AK240 look impressive (or any of Astell & Kern's players, really; the 240 just has the largest potential capacity, 256GB internal with an optional 128GB microSD add-on):
