I'd like to wish everyone here a happy, healthy Thanksgiving Day!
I wonder how many of you know that Hanukkah began last evening at sundown.
Today is the ONLY day in all of history when Hanukkah and Thanksgiving Day arrive at the same time, on the very same day!
It's NEVER happened before, and it will NEVER happen again.
Fascinating…

PS: Upon further examination, I've learned that the Hanukkah/Thanksgiving connection DID happen once before, in 1888. It is scheduled to happen next…78,000 years from today.

To Chris- You said never again, you mean you don't intend to be around 78,000 years from now? I do, but not here, hopefully in a place that is not too hot, if you get my drift.

I think in recent years the turkey is the perfect word to describe this country[ha-ha-ha] like other empires such potential that has faltered by the waist side do to evil and self interest. Plus to make matters worst we are sandwiched between two countries that are also failures, one below that bleeds us down, one above that are crackpots.

I saw a cute sad but true cartoon from someone on the modern day thanksgiving. Grandpa at the diner table has not even finished his dinner, When his son said to him. Do you want me to get your coat, the kids and I want to get to Sears by 6pm for that great pre- black Friday sale they have. Really it has become one big joke. Workers are complaining because for the first time in their lives they have to work on Thanksgiving. I believe it pretty much used to be just Walmart.
