That weird bronze/gold skydome is hovering over here, too. It's like looking out with tinted glasses - sort of sulphurous looking.

Don't know if this counts as weather-related, but there's still a weird orange glow in the sky from the fires further North (California), even though the firefighters reportedly have it under control now. embarrassment

Fantastic stuff here. Two power cuts this morning.

Power has gone here too. The storm appears to be edging closer to us, heavy rain and strong winds and it's darkening.

weirdly weve got the same pre-storm gold hue here in SE uk.
Bit like the bit in Barabbas. Or when theres too much yellow in a newly-released John Ford Western blu ray!!

Mildly Breezy but no gusts.

A neighbour has said it's got something to do with Saharan dust in the atmosphere - maybe it is interacting with the hurricane skirmish line? He was clearing some of it off the surface of his car. There's no real wind here, just yet, but the yellow is kind of 'head bangingly' jaundice-like.

The sun appeared to be dystopian red* this afternoon but now that it’s heading towards the horizon it’s reverted to the usual colour. The wind’s getting up a bit, but that might be the couscous I had for lunch.

* check it out on the Dulux chart...

Saharan Dust? Sounds like a Morricone score or new mind-altering drug from North Africa!

Here's one of the supporting stories showing the freakish weather conditions have some 'kick' to them:

Yup, I was out & saw it around 4.30pm, really red & not too bright, so you could look right at it, after the yellow light & then this whatever next...the second coming!

Just a follow up (with pictures!) on the look of the skies during the Ophelia Phenomenon:

It's 49F/9C with 16mph and 26 km/h winds. Probably the only cool day we'll have in South Florida this year.

It was -7F when I drove in to work today. Woke up to -33F on Sunday morning. Car doors make interesting sounds when slammed in that temperature.

Snow in Florida? What more proof do you need?! They're here already. You're next! As seen on TV...

Escaping entirely the bracing cold that is the east coast, with overcast and mist.

Ditto, except replace overcast and mist with sunny and warm (upper 70s).
